Fold Over Skirt

My sister in law bought this fabric a year ago and asked me to make her a skirt. Well it never happened...because I am afraid of patterns!!!! She had picked out a really cute style , but as soon as I opened that package and the fragile tea colored paper unfolded I knew I wouldn't be able to do it. So I sat on this material (oh and she bought black and brown too :/) and waited for a project to come along that I could use it on. One never did.....
I don't really remember how this idea came to me, but I'm glad it did. This skirt is so so comfortable!!! And it's very stretchy so that if and when we have another baby I can use it as a maternity skirt. There was also some material leftover to make some of those maternity bella bands to keep your expanding jeans closed.

P.S. if I look really tall here it's because I am.....5'10 :)

Anyway, if someone wants a tutorial I will make one or just ask and I can tell you how I made it. Happy Monday!!!!!
