The past two months

I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted! Guess that kinda thing happens during the holidays. Especially when you host Thanksgiving, make handmade birthday and Christmas gifts, and do lot's of crafting for the seasons. So I guess this post will just be a kind of photo dump of what's been happening here.

First up is the clutch and wallet set I made for myself. The clutch is my own pattern and the wallet organizer if from HERE. Love that it holds my phone, cash, cards and notepad.

This year we hosted Thanksgiving, which I love to do.

I had a place where family could hang photos of those they could not be with on that day.

My girl is checking the Black Friday ads for good deals ;)

Next up was a birthday gift for my sister in law. A Christmas Country Ruffled apron.

Then there is Christmas. The best time! I had a lot of fun making a few things for the house this year.
My Christmas Tree Pants was a pattern from Sew Mama Sew. It ended up being a lot more work than I anticipated, but hopefully it will be a treasured piece that comes out once a year.

Made an ornament with Demi. Definitely going to be a yearly tradition.

There was a sign like this floating around Pinterest and I wanted it soooo badly.

Well, the shop was closed for the season so I made my own. I cut the letters out of contact paper and painted on a canvas from Hobby Lobby. Then antiqued the sides with stain.

Every year we go to Target to pick out a new snow globe. Demi picked the ballerina this year.

Those stockings are a tutorial by Noodlehead found HERE. Daddy's didn't get finished before this picture.

I didn't get around to making an Advent this year, but I found one I adore at Joann's for half off.

I made my sisters in law some makeup rolls. Pattern found HERE.

I also finished a very special gift for my mom. Her late Grandmother was an avid sewer (probably where I get it:) and she had made a double knit quilt top that never got finished. She had made one for my mother years ago and I stole it and used it until it was in shreds. Needless to say she was very happy to receive it.

Me and my girl on Christmas Eve and Day.

Whew....that's a lot of pictures and sorry for the poor quality! Promise to be back sooner!

  2. I love the makeup rolls and the clutch/wallet combo, they're super cute! Your thanksgiving table looks even bigger than mine, I can't believe it!
