If you knew me when I was younger you knew that I LOVED to tan. There were days I would lay out for 8 hours and then go to a tanning bed. Awful, I know. I have since stopped this terrible habit and have scars to remind how not worth it a tan is. But I can also say that I still crave that lovely healthy glow. I've tried a few products throughout the year and I now think I have the best regime.
It all starts with exfoliating. You can make your own sugar scrub by mixing one cup sugar, 1/2 cup veg oil(or any oil you please) and a few drops of essential oils. Mix together and scrub your body down before you apply your self tanning lotion.

I use Jergens Natural Glow. It's inexpensive, gradual and looks real.

This is from about 4 days worth of application.
I've been thinking I need to start this too-since I can't really get out into the sun or tanning bed right now, and I need some color for a wedding coming up. I have both of those already, do you scrub every day? Or how often?
ReplyDeleteI usually scrub about 5 days per week. The oil keeps me from drying out.
